Murder, She Tweeted
opens January 17, 2014
It’s a dark stormy night in Private Detective Chase Taylor’s small downtown office. Suddenly a strange man wearing pajamas calls on our hero with an eerie tale from a far away tropical paradise. He enlists Taylor’s help just before a shot rings out and he is dead.

Chase takes up the case, and it leads him to a small island in the Bahamas, home of the last known living “Pygmy Moose." Turns out this moose is the only thing keeping the huge evil development company, “No-Stink Construction” from turning the quaint little village into a condominium laden wasteland.

Chase has to navigate through a host of oddball characters, all played by three veteran Mystery Cafe actors, who have their own comic challenges keeping up with the lightning fast costume changes.

It’s a fast paced hilarious romp of gut-busting laughs, and clue dropping suspects that is part Agatha Christy, part Monty Python and all Mystery Cafe.

If you saw Detective Taylor in “Who Wants to Kill a Millionaire” or “The Art of Murder”... or even if you didn’t, you are going to love “A Man in Pajamas.”

This show is the Holiday edition of "A man in Pajamas." It's the same basic show, but with a Christmas time theme. Much of the diolouge has been re-written with hints of hot apple cider and roasted chestnuts.

Chase has the same case, but now it's set around the holiday season, complete with two Christmas favorite songs,  performed live by the lovely Laura Adams, with multi-talented Gene Larche on electric guitar. It's gut-busting laughs infused with warm Christmas cheer... and food... and drinks. Yay!

Lee H. Adams is perhaps the most produced playwright in his genre. His shows have been appearing all over the U.S for twenty years. His plays "Let's Kill the Boss" and "Murder by Chicken" have been seen by millions of people all over North America. Locally, his Chase Taylor series of plays has been keeping audiences in gut-busting laughter with such Comedy-mysteries as "Who Wants to Kill A Millionaire" and "A Man in Pajamas."

And now, his newest show, the 5th installment in the Chase Taylor series, see Chase wrestling to catch up to the rest of the world as he struggles to figure the difference between a text and a tweet, A laptop and a tablet, an Instagram and a grahm cracker. All this while trying to solve his toughest case yet!

Whatever the story, the format here at Mystery cafe is always our proven formula of the Twin Cities best comedic performers, a wonderful three course meal, bribe money, laughs, clues and a mystery only you can solve. Book your tickets early, as December dates always sell out fast!
